Website Privacy Policy

This policy covers what we do with the information you give us at storypathlearning.com — the email address and role you share when you join the early-access list. It is intentionally narrow: it describes the marketing website only. When the StoryPath app launches, a separate, more comprehensive policy will cover the app’s handling of student and educator data.

What we collect

When you join the early-access list, you give us two things:

  • Your email address.
  • Whether you are a parent or an educator.

When you visit the site, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically records standard server information: your IP address, your browser type, and the date and time of your visit. This is used to keep the site secure and performant. We do not tie these automatic records to your email.

Why we collect it

Two reasons, both narrow:

  • To send you the confirmation message when you sign up.
  • To tell you when StoryPath Learning is ready, along with a small number of short updates between now and then.

The role you select (parent or educator) lets us tailor the messages so they are relevant to your situation. Nothing more.

What we will not do with your email

  • We will not send you marketing unrelated to StoryPath Learning.
  • We will not sell your email address or share it with third parties.
  • We will not use your email for advertising or ad-targeting.
  • We will not build a profile about you beyond the two fields you filled in.

Where your information lives

Your email address and role are stored in Cloudflare D1, a database hosted by Cloudflare. Confirmation and follow-up emails are sent through Resend, a transactional email service. Access to the stored records is limited to the people operating StoryPath Learning.

We do not currently use analytics tools that track individual visitors. If we add one later, it will be a privacy-respecting service that does not set tracking cookies, and we will update this policy before it goes into effect.

How long we keep your information

We keep your email and role until one of two things happens — whichever comes first:

  • You ask us to remove you, or unsubscribe from our emails.
  • Twenty-four months pass from the date you signed up without StoryPath Learning becoming available to you.

After either trigger, we delete your record.

Your choices

You have three specific rights, any time:

  • Unsubscribe. Reply to any email we send with “unsubscribe” in the subject line and we will remove you from the list.
  • Delete. Email hello@storypathlearning.com asking us to delete your record. We will do so within thirty days.
  • See what we have. Email hello@storypathlearning.com asking for a copy of the information we hold about you. We will send it within thirty days.

Cookies

storypathlearning.com does not set any cookies on your browser. If we add a strictly functional cookie in the future (for example, to remember your form submission during a single visit), we will update this policy.

Children

This website is written for parents and educators. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 13 through this website. The StoryPath application, which is designed for use by children with parent or educator supervision, will be covered by its own separate privacy policy specifically addressing children’s data.

Changes to this policy

If we make changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of the page. If the changes materially affect how your information is collected or used, we will email people on the early-access list before the change takes effect.
